May 12, 2023 Brentford Voice has revealed more details of what is planned for this year's Brentford Canal Festival which is due to take place on Saturday 24 June. Last year over 3,000 people came along to the free fun-packed day out celebrating the end of Covid-19 restrictions on large gatherings.

Last year saw the return of the Brentford Canal Festival after many, many years. It is estimated that over 3000 people came along, and by all accounts, it was a free fun packed day that was deemed a great success. The festival is steered by Brentford Voice and run by a very small number of volunteers from the local community.

Brentford is holding a new festival to celebrate the history of Brentford's waterways. Initially planned for last year but cancelled because of Covid, the Brentford Canal Festival will take place on Saturday June 25 as a one day event from 12 - 6pm. Organiser Martin Case says:
