Materials: Harrisville Looms potholder loops. If you want to get all particular, here's a recipe for how many bags you'll need: 1 loop = 15 cm (6″). Approximately 37 loops per package. So, you can expect around 5.8 m (19′) of loops per bag. 20 bags = around 115 m (380′) of loopy yarn. This results in a rug approximately 56 cm x 71 cm.

Place batting between these two pieces and baste through all thicknesses close to edge. Pin rounded edges of No. V pieces to rounded edges of No. IV pieces, easing in fullness and baste. Cut a 4″ strip of bias trim, fold in half and stitch folded edges together. Baste at center seam for loop.

Baste stitch 1/8" along the outer perimeter. Position one of the assembled straps face up on the front side of the potholder body so the strap is centered 3" from the top and bottom curves of the potholder body. Baste the strap into place along each of the strap's short sides. Cut a 26″ section of bias tape.

Twist the hook so it lies flat, and pull gently back toward the right side of the loom. When you get part way across, slip the free end of the loop over the first peg on the left side of the loom to secure it. Continue pulling and slip the other end of the loop over the corresponding peg on the right. Remove the weaving hook.
